Toshiba Thrive 10.1-Inch 8 GB Android Tablet AT105-T108
I bought the Toshiba last weekend, and I could not be happier that the tablet does everything I needed it to do. First I would like to take some questions some people and reviewers complained.
The sleep problem: some people complained that the tablet when you go to sleep it does not turn on again, if not the whole tablet is restarted. The question is, even if it happened to me once a week, but Toshiba admitted the problem and are working on a solution and coming out soon, so let's just go past it.
The size question: well it would be a matter of preference, are EXPANDIBILITY ports and connectivity options worth the trade-off? For me, the answer is yes. Im personally tired of Apple manipulating consumers to make more money. Apple refuses to give up the gates to get you to buy adapters, they refuse to have a removable battery, even on phones (all phones have removable batteries, with the exception of Apple), because they want you to buy the battery from them and also get it installed by Apple and they charge money for installation. So if you have a problem with the battery, you only pay for the battery, you must also pay for installation and not try to do it yourself, because you will void the warranty. Also this tablet is not much thicker or HAVI than most of the pills out there, it can be heavy and thick on spec. Ark, but it feels safe in the hand comfortably, especially with rubberized backing.
Lack of flash in the rear camera: can see it in your eyes, making even phone cameras with flash do not produce good images in low light. Plus, you are buying really a tablet to take pictures? I do not think so. If you really want to go that route, you can use your phone camera or point and shoot camera. Cameras on tablets are intended for video conferencing, more than anything elseand they thrive not so well.
Battery: some people do not like the fact that the battery will run out in a day or two of heavy use. Well, the charger with the tablet charge the battery in an hour! Try to beat it. Plus, if you plan to use the tablet in the desert, then you should be able to charge your tablet by the end of two days.
Now let's talk about the good stuff!
Advantages: Fast and responsive: apps, screens and Internet load quickly, even keyboard responsiveness is great Ports and Expansion: Full USB port, HDMI port and SD card slot. I love the SD card slot, because unlike the Apple iPhone, it gives you options. You can have a 16 GB tablet today, but what happens if you get another job tomorrow, or your needs change, for some reason? With the iPhone all you can do is put it on eBay and buy a bigger memory limit of 64GB, with a thriving, just buy an SD card or save your work to a flash drive or external hard drive (full USB support in mind) Monitor: ? I like the screen, I really do not get the chance to put it next to an IPAD, but the screen resolution and color looks good to me. Its very comfortable to read, I have a lot to read through the Kindle app, but still performs well for gaming and video, "which I do sometimes Printer Parts app: .. This is the easiest and fastest way I have seen and experienced, which making prints from a tablet breathe. The application allows you to print from multiple sources and applications on the tablet over a WiFi or Bluetooth printer that is within reach. I could print a PDF file. sent to my e-mail with the wireless printer my room app was detected immediately by the printer and print the document in seconds File:. it is the only pill that comes with a file manager that makes it easy to navigate through your files, documents, pictures, etc., just like you do on your computer and you can also create folders, etc. .. Camera quality: I think the camera quality is fantastic especially for a tablet or a mobile device. generally removable battery: You can remove the battery and change it so you can get a new battery when the battery in question is low or when you just want an extra battery in case Back:. I personally like shares black back, but I appreciate that Toshiba thought about it and offered it, I think it's a great way to customize your tablet to choose from several colors , quickly and easily.
Cons: Android 3.1: definitely need some adjustments, there is less of a problem across the board, but in general I will give it a 9 out of 10 Plus, all these questions im sure they will sort out the next version or update of Android. Apps: Android Market is definitely missing tablet-specific applications that the number of apps is much smaller than the iPad and applications phone that looks good on the tablet. Developers should accelerate their efforts and develop more programs and games for the honeycomb. One of the main reasons people buy wrennot honeycomb tablets so much as the iPhone, the number of programs available for download is tablet-specific. Missing accessories: I really can not complain much here because the tablet just came out, so hopefully in the future there will be several matters and things.
Overall, I think they enjoy is a great tablet, and it gets the job,, any job done and done quickly, and I definitely recommend this tablet to anyone who wants to buy a tablet, and by the way was this review written on my rampant through of on-screen keyboard, and it works well. Writing was responsive, although I was tyoing fast, just as if typing on my computer, there was no delay or any problems.
